Camping for Children and Young Adults

Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, 4H and any organization that promotes the outdoors or camping with children and young adults as a part of its program is welcome at Mackinaw Mill Creek Camping. In fact, Mackinaw Mill Creek Camping is the only campground in the USA with a dedicated area specifically for scouting type gatherings.

Our "scout" area is isolated from the rest of the campground yet within a comfortable distance of our modern facilities, as well as the 1-mile lakeshore viewing the Straits of Mackinac, and the Park Store (open Memorial Day through Labor Day).

We are experienced at hosting large multi-region Rendezvous type gatherings as well as smaller groups that may only require a few sites. We understand what is important to you, the children or young adults in your charge as well as the concerns their parents.

The campground is situated on 200 acres of northern Michigan wooded lakefront property. Along with our "scout" sites we have a large selection of cabins both rustic and modern for you to pick from.
