Nearly 40 years ago (legend has it) Bob Seger first introduced The Silver Bullet Band to a surprised audience following a performance by BTO at Eastern Michigan University in Ann Arbor, MI. The rest is rock-n-roll history still in the making.

Lookin’ Back is a forward-looking project comprised of six noteworthy Detroit-area musicians united to keep the music of Bob Seger performed on Metro-Detroit and regional stages for those legions who profoundly identify with the man’s poetry, energy and vast catalog of hits spanning five decades.

Music in Mackinaw - Michelle Chenard

Michelle Chenard is a veteran singer/songwriter who has been continually voted a favorite in Northern Michigan as Best Solo Performer, Best of the Best and more in Northern Express, Northern Michigan’s largest newsweekly. In addition to her solo career, Michelle has been writing, recording and performing with her new band, The Blood Sisters.

Singing and playing guitar since she was seven years old, it’s no surprise that Chenard has garnered such respect and accolades. Her acoustic performances have built her a strong following throughout the Upper Midwest. From Michigan’s unspoiled Upper Peninsula down the coast of Lake Michigan and back, it is her powerful vocals, accomplished guitar work and award winning songwriting that continues to captivate.

From Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp comes the Goethes Groove Connection, from Emmendingen, Germany, with their Jazz and Big Band sound. 24 young musicians between the ages of fourteen to seventeen will be visiting Mackinaw City for two full days – our opportunity to show off the pride we hold in our community.

Music in Mackinaw - Saline Fiddlers Philharmonic

These amazing young players pull their audiences into their world of serious fiddling simmering in fun. Everyone leaves feeling good and asking the Fiddlers to come back again!

The Saline Fiddlers astound audiences every time they take the stage. They are fully equipped, amplified and present an energetic, polished stage show that includes music, song and dance from the traditions of American folk fiddle, bluegrass, jazz, western swing and Celtic music. Their repertoire, which grows every year, includes many pieces composed or arranged by an exceptionally talented artistic team, headed up by Artistic Director Brad Phillips.
