Mackinaw Mill Creek Camping owns and operates The Mackinaw Club Golf Course and offers our discount passes for campground guests.

• Discount passes can be picked up at the camp office or The Park Store.
• Discounts can NOT currently be applied when making a tee time online. To apply the discount, please reserve your tee times by calling the clubhouse at (231) 537-4955.
• Discounts are NOT valid on Mondays or during Twilight Hours.
• Carts are required when golfing during the summer season.
• Reserved tee times are not required, but walk-in tee times are subject to availability.

About Mackinaw Club Golf Course

The Mackinaw Club opened in 1997 and was professionally designed for playability by Jerry Matthews. The beautiful northern Michigan forest and meadow setting for the course has only been enhanced as it has recently been refurbished and restored by its new owners, Mackinaw Mill Creek Camping.

At the Mackinaw Club Golf Course you will find a blend of a traditional forest course with several meandering meadow style fairways, all covering 310 acres of a gently sloping landscape. This professionally designed course is enjoyable and challenging to players at all levels.

The Mackinaw Club is open to the public and is located within minutes of downtown Mackinaw's unique shopping, dining and entertainment district. In Mackinaw City you can plan a great day of golfing and an evening of dining, or your morning practicing on our driving range followed by a scenic afternoon trip to historic Mackinac Island.

Golf Course Location

Golf Course History

Historically, the land where the course is located has been used as an emergency landing strip for B-25's. The B-25's were using Round Island in Lake Huron for bombing runs in W.W.II. Mackinaw City operated a small airport on the site that later became a snowmobile club.

As a community snowmobile club the site eventually hosted popular races. Most recently, just before it was discovered by the golf course's builders, Mary, Jim and Dick Carter, it hosted a kite festival. The Carters had built golf courses with many of the best known golf architects for years (having worked with architects Jerry Matthews, Bruce Matthews and Ron Otto on courses that include The Emerald, The Pohlcat, St. Ives, Michawye, The Jewel, Timber Ridge, Railside, Wallinwood, Lake View Hills, Birchwood, Treetops, Hill's Heart of the Lakes and Eagle Glen).
