Mackinaw Mill Creek Camping Now Has FREE Tengo High Speed Wi-Fi Internet Service

Mackinaw Mill Creek Camping has made an ongoing commitment to bringing good quality Internet to our customers. We know that when you are away from home that the Internet is your lifeline to banking, online classes, family members, work and a thousand other important ways that you need to stay connected.

Since we first installed and made Wi-Fi available to our guests, we have been able to increase our Internet speeds nearly every year by upgrading and expanding our Tengo Internet system.

Our Wi-Fi system now covers much of the Park and is available in common areas such as the Park Store/Pool (open Memorial Day through Labor Day) and the camp office. In addition, our coverage extends to nearly all full hookup sites and cabins. Many of the sites of all types in the Lake area have Wi-Fi access on site.

To optimize the internet traffic speed the Wi-Fi enters the park through two high speed gateways dividing the park in half.

The large size of the camp meant that our Wi-Fi system needed to be able to cover large areas. As a result our specially built high-speed Wi-Fi system cost nearly $50,000 to build and install and the yearly operational costs are thousands of dollars.

Despite the high cost of the system, for our customer's convenience we have just made WiFi internet access FREE for our guests (many luxury hotels charge as much as $14 for 24 hours of Wi-Fi that sometimes is questionable in quality).

We also offer FREE internet access at our communal computer (located at the camp store) where, for over 10 years now we have a computer online and available to all campers (for no charge) for internet, chat, email, etc.
